BreweryX guide

BreweryX adds a second brewing system to Minecraft. Instead of crafting an ordinary potion, you prepare ingredients, boil them in a cauldron, and—depending on the recipe—distil and age the result.

Before you beginRecipe requirements are defined by the server. The recipe book here describes the published defaults, not a guarantee that LunoriaMC has left every default unchanged.

What you need

  • A heat source and water-filled cauldron for the boiling stage.
  • The exact ingredients and quantities listed for your chosen recipe.
  • A glass bottle to collect the brew.
  • A brewing stand with glowstone dust if the recipe requires distillation.
  • A correctly built barrel if the recipe requires ageing.

Understanding quality

Many recipes show three names separated by slashes: Bad result / Normal result / Good result. Your final quality depends on following the recipe's timings and processing steps accurately. Higher recipe difficulty means less tolerance for timing errors.

Recipe fieldWhat it means
IngredientsRequired items and quantities, such as Wheat/6.
Cooking timeReal-world minutes the ingredients must boil.
Distillation runsHow many distilling cycles are required. Some recipes use none.
Distillation timeTime per distillation run, in seconds, if specified.
WoodRequired barrel wood type. A value of 0 means any wood.
AgeHow long the brew must age, measured in BreweryX's in-game ageing units/years.
DifficultyAccuracy required to reach good quality, from 1 (easier) to 10 (harder).
AlcoholConfigured alcohol points in a perfect brew. This is a game mechanic, not real alcohol.
EffectsOptional Minecraft potion effects defined by the recipe.

Useful player commands

Command availability depends on permissions and the installed version.

CommandPurpose
/brewShows the BreweryX command help available to you.
/brew infoChecks brewing-related information about yourself.
/brew info <player>Checks another player's information if permitted.
/brew itemnameHelps identify the material name of an item for recipe configuration; typically more useful to staff.
/brew versionDisplays the installed BreweryX version.

Some installations expose additional subcommands or use different command aliases. If a command is rejected, try /brew and follow the help shown in-game.
